The 38th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Bangalore Warrier Samajam, took place on Sunday, 18th December 2022 at the Hotel Ajanta, MG Road. This was the first physical meeting of the AGM after the 35th AGM that was held in July 2019. Usually, the AGM is usually conducted in July-August of every year, but this year due to logistical challenges it had to be postponed to December.
The meeting began with the lighting of the lamp by the office bearers and a prayer led by Smt.Rema Devi. The Samajam President, Shri C V Muralidharan, welcomed the members in attendance. Shri Harish T V, Executive Committee Member, read out the names of members who are no longer with us; a minute of silence was observed in their honour. More than thirty members were in attendance at the meeting with significant attendance from the senior members.
The Vice-President of the Samajam, Smt Rakhi Warrier, presented the minutes of the previous AGM, and the Samajam Secretary, Shri Gopakumar P T, presented a report on the organization's activities and plans. The Treasurer, Shri Pradeep Manakkal, presented the financial statements for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
The Samajam President launched the organization's newly built website, www.bwsblr.com, and thanked the key members involved in its creation. The members then had constructive discussions on various aspects of Samajam's activities. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Joint Secretary, Shri Santhosh Mangalath, and the singing of the national anthem, followed by lunch.
