The brilliant hues of the Lehengas and the elegant kurtas set apart this event as one of most BWS colorful events literally. Stepping out of the comfort zones a few seniors took to this unconventional style to match the festivities. BWS Deepam event celebrated at the conveniently placed Ajantha Hotel on Nov 4th 2023 was a grand success and moved quite a few toes and hearts.
Members and their families braved the constant drizzle to make it to the venue and were suitably sustained with tea/coffee and snacks after which the cultural programs began. The lighting of the lamp invoked the divine grace of Sree Shakti which was beautifully elucidated by one of our senior most members Ms Vatsala Warrier.
The event was a great mix of solo performances, theme based based dance as the Garbha fusion and games. One of the eye catching items was the Passing the ball game enthusiastically played by the Seniors with fervour as others excitedly watched for the photo finish.
As the cultural programs ended, ladies and girls in their beautifully embellished lehengas came to the dance floor swaying hips and flashing arms to make the Diwali event a happening and well remembered one.
Soon the aroma of the freshly prepared hot rava idlis and dosas wafted through the air and drew the members who were all praise for the delectable spread organized for dinner. The evening came to a close on a very warm note with families staying back and exchanging pleasantries.
The festival season started with Navaratri followed by Kerala Piravi and Karnataka Rajyotsava on Nov 1 and is gaining momentum with Diwali around the corner. BWS takes this opportunity to wish all the members a wonderful, prosperous and happy Deepawali.

നവരാത്രി ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ ഗംഭീരമായി കൊണ്ടാടി നാമെല്ലാം സന്തോഷങ്ങൾ കുറച്ചു നാളുകൾക്ക് മുന്നേ അന്യോന്യം മറ്റുള്ളവരുമായി പങ്കുവച്ചു. പിന്നീട് നമ്മളെ തേടിയെത്തിയത് കേരള കർണ്ണാടക സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ പിറവി ദിനമായ നവംബർ 1 ആയിരുന്നു. പ്രവാസികളായ നമ്മളുടെയെല്ലാം ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഈ രണ്ടു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്കും തുല്യ പ്രാധാന്യം ഉണ്ട്. പെറ്റമ്മയാകും നമ്മുടെ നാടുപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഉപജീവനമാർഗ്ഗം തേടി നാമെത്തപ്പെട്ടത് കർണ്ണാടകയുടെ മണ്ണിലേക്കാണ്. ആ പുണ്യഭൂമിയിൽ വച്ചാണ് നമ്മളിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും നാം കണ്ട പല സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും സാക്ഷാത്കരിച്ചത്. ഒരു പോറ്റമ്മയെ പോലെ നമ്മളെയൂട്ടി സ്വന്തം മക്കളായി കണ്ട ഈ തട്ടകത്തെ നമുക്കെങ്ങിനെ മറക്കാനാകും. ഇനി നമ്മൾ പുതിയ ഉണർവോടെ വീണ്ടും ഒരു ആഘോഷത്തിനായി ആകാംഷയോടെ കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണല്ലോ? ദസറാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ അന്തിമ ഭാഗമായി ദീപാവലി ആഘോഷത്തെ ഭാരതീയർ കണക്കാക്കുന്നു. അധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ മേൽ ധർമ്മ വിജയം നേടി ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീരാമചന്ദ്രൻ അയോദ്ധ്യയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ വേളയിൽ നടത്തപ്പെട്ട ആഘോഷമാണ് ഭാരതത്തിൽ നാമിന്നും വർഷാ വർഷം കൊണ്ടാടുന്നത്. ഭാരതത്തിലെ ഒട്ടുമിക്ക എല്ലാ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും ഈ ആഘോഷം വളരെയധികം ശ്രദ്ധയോടും ഭക്തിപൂർവ്വം നടത്തി വരുന്നു.
ബാംഗ്ലൂർ വാരിയർ സമാജാംഗങ്ങൾ ഒത്തു ചേർന്ന് ദീപാവലി ആഘോഷത്തെ വരവേൽക്കാൻ നവംബർ 4 നു ഒരു കുടുംബ സംഗമം നടത്തുകയും തദവസരത്തിൽ അംഗങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ ഒന്നിച്ചിരിക്കാനും സന്തോഷപൂർവ്വം ഒരു സായാഹ്നം ചിലവഴിക്കുവാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു. അംഗങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച പല പല കലാവിരുന്നുകളും സ്വാദിഷ്ടമായ രാത്രി ഭക്ഷണവും ഈ ചടങ്ങിന്റെ മാറ്റു കൂട്ടി.
ഇത്തരം ഒരു പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ബാംഗ്ളൂർ വാരിയർ സമാജം ഭാരവാഹികൾക്കു നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു
