മലയാള മാസം വൃശ്ചികം 28 ,മേൽപതതൂർ നാരായണ ഭട്ടതിരി നാരായണീയം എഴുതി പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ദിവസം നാരായണീയ ദിവസമായി ലോകമെമ്പാടും ആചരിച്ചു വരുന്നു.
ഇനന് ഡിസംബർ 14( വൃശ്ചികം 28) ബാംഗളൂർ വാരിയർ സമാജം അംഗങ്ങൾ, ശ്രീമതി രാധിക വാരിയരുടെ വീട്ടിൽ രാവിലെ 9മണി മുതൽ 5മണി വരെ നാരായണീയം വായിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഈ ദൈവിക ദിവസം ആഘോഷിച്ചു.ശ്രീമതി ദേവയാനി ദാമോദരൻ , ശ്രീമതി സുശീല ജനാർദ്ദനൻ, ശ്രീമതി രുഗ്മിണി ചന്ദ്രശേഖരൻ, ശ്രീമതി ഗീത മനോഹരൻ, ശ്രീമതി രാധ രാജൻ, ശ്രീമതി അനിത നിർമ്മൽ, ശ്രീമതി രാധിക രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിവർ നാരായണീയം വായിച്ചു.ഈ സുദിനത്തിന്റെ ആഘോഷത്തിൽ
പങ്കെടുത്ത് , ബാംഗളൂർ വാരിയർ സമാജത്തിന് ഒരു പൊൻതൂവൽ കൂടി നൽകിയ എല്ലാവരേയും ബാംഗളൂർ വാരിയർ സമാജം അനുമോദിച്ചു.
Narayaneeyam is a poem-form of Srimad Bhagavatham in Sanskrit; it was composed by Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri in the 16th century. This composition was completed on the 28th day of the Malayalam month Vrischikam; hence, the day is celebrated as Narayaneeyam Day.
A few members of the Bangalore Warrier Samajam conducted a Narayaneeyam recital at the residence of Smt. Radhika Radhakrishnan. The day-long recital was performed between 9 am and 5 pm by Smt.Devayani Damodaran, Smt.Susheela Janardhanan, Smt.Rugmini Chandra sekharan, Smt. Geetha Manoharan, Smt. Radha Rajan, Smt. Anitha Nirmal, and Smt.Radhika Radhakrishnan. This was yet another milestone in these members' spiritual journey.
