Rajyothsava celebration at govt school

The samajam's members celebrated Kannada Rajyothsava (state formation day of Karnataka) along with the children of Doddanekkundi Government Primary School. The samajam donated a color printer for the use of the school office.


Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated as the day when the state of Karnataka was born. It commemorates the establishment of the Karnataka state on November 1, 1956. The day is observed with public functions and celebrations all over Karnataka.

The Kannada Rajyotsava Day was first celebrated in 1957 on November 1, with a ceremony at Shanti Van in Bangalore. The event was attended by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira Gandhi, then Chief Minister B. D. Jatti, and other dignitaries from across India.
