Vishu '23: Bangalore Warrier Samajam joyously welcomes the New Year

At the crack of dawn, they walk in with their eyes closed, holding onto a loved one while taking careful steps around the house. On the auspicious day of Vishu, it is quite nostalgic to see young ones get enchanted when they see the assortment of the "Vishu Kanni". Their happiness brings in refreshment just like the season of spring, and their excitement to collect "Vishu Kaineettam" gets everyone uncontrollably smiling at the start of the new year!

Bangalore Warrier Samajam gathered its members to celebrate Vishu on 16th April 2023 at Hotel Ajantha. An energetic and lively audience of 200 were present at the venue.

The event opened with a gracious lamp-lighting ceremony and prayer.

A classical dance performance by Nisha symbolised a devotee's imagining of Lord Krishna to be her child. In the dance, she dressed him up, pampered him, and was fond of his naughtiness. Towards the end of the performance, she woke up to realise the whole occurrence to be "maya" and continued to dance in happiness.
