Welcoming the Onset of Onam with Fun Competitions

Onam is one of the most celebrated festivals in Kerala, and this year, the Bangalore Warrier Samajam welcomed the season in grand style at Wasa Plaza. The event was held on August 20, 2023, and it was a day filled with fun, food, and community.

The event started at 10am with a series of competitions for children and adults of all ages. The competitions included handwriting in English and Malayalam, making a sustainable product, drawing, clay art, Play Doh craft, Matheru making, and Malakettal making. There was also a delicious lunch that was served to everyone at noon.

The competitions were a great way to encourage people to learn new skills and to express their creativity.

The event marked the beginning of Onam and brought us together as a community. It was a day of fun, laughter, and learning, and it was a reminder of the importance of tradition. It helped them to celebrate their shared culture.

A big kudos to Sowmya U and team of volunteers for organizing such an enjoyable event, and Vinod A V for taking the Malakettal workshop.
